SDGI-STEC Communication Branch, that was restructured from ex-Shenzhen SDG-STEC Telecom Co., Ltd. set up in 1992. As a namable Hi-Tech enterprise, SDGI-STEC is mainly engaged in research, development, production, sales and system integration of telecommunication transmission equipment, DDN network, access network equipment (wire, and wireless), intelligent terminal equipment, and CATV HFC network equipment.
    SDGI-STEC is oriented on the sales market, has been establishing intimate cooperation relationship with many famous enterprises and institutions abroad and domestic. Those include introducing the MainStreet 3630 intelligent terminal equipment manufactured by the production technology and production line of Newbridge Network Co., Canada; cooperating with Tellabs U.S.A to produce the Focus family SDH equipment; introducing the RTU equipment of CAE, Canada. SDGI-STEC has abundant resources on R&D, Shenzhen Digital Telecom Transmission R & D Center based on SDGI-STEC gathered a number of outstanding IT professional persons in present China. Self-developed DSL-9800 Intelligent Fiber Digital Ring and SDN-9700Intelligent Digital Cross Connect System, had the honor to win the prize of “Science & Technology progress”. The cooperation with Qinghua University realized the ultra large scale IC TSOH-9900-1 used in SDH communication transmission, which is in the lead of this field, and is showing the attractive prospect. SDGI-STEC recently recommended 155M/622M/2.5Gb/s SDH Optical Transmission System with its own intellectual property right. It will make a great breakthrough for the China’s national communication industry.
    SDGI-STEC will still focus on the national main project and great project, with the advantage of the integration and configuration of the most update products, it is very celebrated in the private network market of electric power, petrol, railway, road, army, etc. Nowadays most of the Intelligent PCM equipment of China Electric Power is supported by SDGI-STEC, the introduced DDN network equipment also occupied large market of China Telecom. The product is well accepted in 30 provinces, municipalities, autonomous, and also HK & Macao, part of them have been exported to Viet Nam, Malaysia, Lithuania, etc.
    Through the great effort of all the members, SDGI-STEC reached 3rd biggest supplier of optical communication equipment in China in 1998, one of the first 200 of managing success of Electric Industry System, and one of the first 300 of sales achievement, and the thirdly supplier of GSM network optic transmission equipment to China Unicom.
    SDGI-STEC has high standard management, strictly obeys ISO9001 quality system, has already obtained quality Certificates of BSI ISO9001 and GB/T ISO9001 one after another, has provided its domestic and abroad customers with perfect before- and after-sale services.
