Shenzhen SDG Information Co., Ltd, is a listed high-tech company. In 1998  Shenzhen Guangtong Development Co., Ltd. (SGT built in 1988) and Shenzhen Xingsuo Optical Communication Industry Co. (SXS built in 1994),  two of the earliest companies engaged in optical cable industry in china, has amalgamated into Shenzhen SDG Information Co.,Ltd Optical Cable Branch. SDGI cable is a technology-oriented manufacturer of optical fiber cable industry with the strategy of specialization and professionalization.

SDGI cable produces different types of optical fiber cables to provide solutions to optical signal transmission in different telecommunication lines. The common optical cables are widely applied for long haul and LAN telecommunication (for aerial, duct and direct burial installation). SDGI was the first to develop ADSS (All Dielectric Self-supporting) cable in China and keeps the record of largest span of 1420m. The OPGW (Composite Fiber Optic Overhead Ground Wire) designed can be applied for 500KV power lines. The slotted core cable with the maximum cores of 1200 can satisfy the demand of FTTx development. SDGI cable has introduced micro-cables for FTTx distribution use, as well as the Fig-8 self-supporting cables and the various types of indoor soft cables. The patent product of color stripe cable registered by SDGI cable can provide an easy method of identification when the cables of different users are installed in the same duct. The other paten products like temperature-sensitive cable, micro-cable, emergency cable and the improved submarine cable can meet the requirement of different telecommunication lines.

SDGI cable branch has a professional team of engineers and technicians, representing 35% of a total of 280 company employees, who have developed many types of cable , SGT hydrogen-extracting proof cable can effectively prevent fiber from increasing attenuation due to hydrogen loss; Initiate “Cross-directional Stranding” technique in China, which can guarantee the superior features of our optic cable products; The reliable manufacturing technique ensures the additional attenuation of fiber reduced to 0.00; Stable process and suitable excess length control method ensure fiber against external force to guarantee the excellent performance of cable.

In 1992, SDGI cable’s cable products have been honored First Prize for the progress in science & technology by National Economic & Trade Committee. In 1997, the product of ADSS has won the First Prize of Shenzhen Science & Technique Progress and has been named Famous Brand Product of Guangdong Province. The ADSS and OPGW have been recognized National Torch-plan Project in 2000 and 2004 respectively. SDGI cable has been authorized 21 patent certificates and other 4 items of invention paten are in application.
